The Challenge
Within the production process, serial numbers were still registered manually on the shop floor, without direct integration into the AS/400 system. This manual approach slowed down operations, increased the risk of errors and limited real‑time visibility into parts and inventory, making it a clear bottleneck in an otherwise high‑volume manufacturing environment.
The Solution
Qubix implemented a mobile application built on Microsoft Power Apps that enables operators to scan and register serial numbers directly on the shop floor. The solution integrates seamlessly with the existing AS/400 backend, creates real‑time data visibility and significantly improves speed and accuracy, all without requiring heavy system changes or complex integrations. This approach enables better decision‑making and tighter control over operations.
